James received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Memphis in 2016 and was licensed as a CPA in 2017. James also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University with a double major in Biology and History and a minor in Chemistry. James left that firm in 2021 to pursue his dream of starting his own public accounting firm. James is passionate about helping other small business owners to not only be compliant with Federal and State taxation regulations, but also to understand their financial position and help grow successful businesses.
When not practicing accounting, James, his wife, Lauren, and daughter, spend time with family and friends on the South Texas coast. They moved to Corpus Christi, TX in 2018 to live out their dream of living on the beach. James is an avid fisherman and enjoys kayak fishing for Redfish and Speckled Trout. The Jensen's have two dogs, Odin and Iris. They can often be found walking the neighborhood on Padre Island. The Jensen's attend Grace Church of the Coastal Bend and enjoy learning and teaching others in the Word of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. James serves as treasurer for the Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program as well as Reach Ministries of Corpus Christi.

After running the entire Texas voter list with more than 18 million voters through the SAVE database, the SOS has identified 2,724 potential noncitizens who are registered to vote in Texas. Last week those voter files were provided to Texas counties, who will now conduct their own investigations into the eligibility of these voters as part of their statutory responsibilities to remove ineligible voters from the rolls under Chapter 16 of the Texas Election Code. Once that process is complete, individuals who are deemed noncitizens that voted in a Texas election will be referred to the Office of the Attorney General. Nueces County ranked 15th with 41 possible Non-citizens registered to vote.
